Amman, October 17 - Chief of the Royal Hashemite Court Yousef Hassan Al-Issawi affirmed that the end of years of military service does not mean the end of the national role, but rather opens up renewed spaces for giving for military retirees, based on the expertise, experiences, and values they acquired in the fields of honor and duty, which qualify them to contribute to strengthening social cohesion, building the awareness of generations, and protecting the nation's achievements.

Al-Issawi said, during his meeting today, Saturday, with a delegation from the Al-Karama and Veterans Committee, which included male and female retirees from the Jordan Armed Forces and security services, and representatives of the Military Retired Engineers Association and community figures, at the Royal Hashemite Court, that this honorable journey enjoys the care and attention of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, who gives comrades-in-arms a special status, based on his appreciation for their sacrifices and contributions to the nation's journey.

He added that military retirees constitute a national asset whose value is not limited to years of service, but extends to the experience, wisdom, and responsibility they continue to provide, pointing out that belonging to the Arab Army school leaves deep-rooted values in the souls of its men, which do not change with the change of positions and do not disappear with the end of years of service.

He pointed out that the value of men in this national school is not measured by ranks and positions, but by what they offer to their country and the impact they leave in their positions of responsibility, noting that veterans were, throughout the various stages of their service, partners in protecting Jordan and strengthening its security and stability, and witnesses to the development and achievements of the Jordan Armed Forces.

He explained that this royal appreciation is embodied in His Majesty's continuous meetings with military retirees and veterans, and his keenness to listen to them, check on their conditions, and benefit from their expertise and experiences, in addition to dedicating a day of loyalty to them, which confirms that serving the nation and the sacrifices of its men remain present in the memory and conscience of the state.

Al-Issawi stressed that military retirees represent national houses of expertise and an important auxiliary to the Armed Forces, and that their responsibility towards their country continues through transferring their experiences to the young generations, consolidating the values of discipline, work, responsibility, and respect for institutions, and enhancing awareness of Jordan's history and what its sons have sacrificed for the sake of its security and stability.

He pointed out that the challenges and rapid transformations witnessed by the region multiply the importance of this role, especially in strengthening the strength and cohesion of the internal front, consolidating confidence in state institutions, and raising the level of societal awareness in the face of rumors and attempts at skepticism and misinformation.

Al-Issawi affirmed that the approach led by His Majesty the King combines safeguarding Jordan's security, sovereignty, and national interests with continuing the journey of construction and modernization, without allowing regional challenges to disrupt the state's journey or affect its constants.

In this context, he pointed to the royal speech before the United Nations General Assembly and the clear political messages it carried, which reflected the steadfastness of the Jordanian position and the depth of the royal vision in dealing with crises, stressing that His Majesty placed the international community before its responsibilities regarding the continuation of injustice and conflicts, and emphasized that achieving true peace is inseparable from achieving justice and respecting rights and international law.

He explained that His Majesty the King was decisive in emphasizing that Jordan's security, sovereignty, northern borders, and water interests are national constants that are not subject to compromise or diminution, and that the Kingdom is moving forward in protecting its interests and safeguarding the security of its citizens, in parallel with continuing the journey of construction and facing the challenges of the future.

He added that the royal positions towards the Palestinian cause and Jerusalem express a firm Jordanian commitment to defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and adhering to the Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, based on a historical responsibility and a firm political and moral position.

He affirmed that His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II embodies an extension of this approach and provides a model that combines pride in the Jordanian military legacy with faith in the capabilities of youth and their role in building the future.

He pointed out that the presence of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince among the brave men of the Armed Forces and his continuous communication with the youth reflect a vision based on connecting the experiences of previous generations with the ambitions of new generations, and investing in the values of discipline, responsibility, and teamwork established by the military institution in the journey of national construction.

They said that His Majesty provided a model of leadership that combines steadfastness on principles with the ability to deal with variables, and between protecting national interests and opening up to opportunities, considering that this approach constitutes a source of inspiration for Jordanians in their various positions to translate their love for their country and their pride in their leadership into initiatives and actions that serve society and strengthen the state's immunity.

They valued His Majesty the King's efforts in consolidating Jordan's presence on the regional and international arenas and expanding its network of political, economic, and strategic relations and partnerships, confirming that royal movements reflect a long-term vision that seeks to transform international relations into developmental and economic opportunities in a way that serves national interests and opens broader horizons for future generations.

They stressed that the expertise of veterans represents an added value to the economy and society, and that investing in it allows for the employment of the knowledge and skills they have acquired in developing productive sectors, enhancing scientific research, and transferring knowledge to youth, making retirement a new stage for contributing to national development.

In this context, representatives of the Military Retired Engineers Association reviewed the experience of the association, which was established in 2010 and includes about 300 members, as an engineering house of expertise that works to employ retired military competencies in the service of industrial, educational, and technological sectors.

They explained that the association works, in cooperation with the Amman Chamber of Industry, to enhance integration between the industrial sector and academic institutions through a network of relationships that extends, according to what they presented, to 52 universities, educational institutions, and institutes, with the aim of linking scientific research and graduation projects with the needs of industry and developing applied solutions to the challenges facing productive sectors, in addition to its contributions to the Jordan Engineers Association and its specialized committees.

Female military retirees reviewed the role played by Jordanian women in the Armed Forces and security services, and the contributions they made in the fields of military, medical, and humanitarian service, confirming that the woman who bore the responsibility of military duty and patient care continues, after retirement, to perform her mission in serving society.

They affirmed that the military experience, with the discipline, teamwork, and sense of responsibility it established, constitutes a motivation for active participation in volunteer and developmental initiatives and transferring these values to new generations.

One of the speakers, a content creator, addressed the role of youth in the digital space and the importance of employing modern communication tools and artificial intelligence in spreading knowledge and enhancing societal awareness, confirming that technological development opens new fields for serving the nation and allows for integration between the experiences of generations and the capabilities of youth.

The speakers expressed their appreciation for the firm and courageous positions of His Majesty the King, especially what was included in His Majesty's speech before the United Nations General Assembly in its eighty-first session, considering that the speech embodied Jordan's clear voice in defending its sovereignty and supreme interests and presented a political and moral vision that confirms that wisdom does not mean weakness and that seeking peace does not conflict with firmness in protecting rights.

They valued the contents of the royal speech, confirming that the positions put forward by His Majesty the King express the constants of the Jordanian state in safeguarding its security, borders, and water interests, rejecting policies of escalation and imposing facts by force, and adhering to justice and respect for the sovereignty of states and the rights of peoples.

The speakers praised His Majesty the King's efforts in defending the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, foremost among them the establishment of their independent state on their national soil with East Jerusalem as its capital, rejecting attempts at forced displacement, and confronting measures aimed at changing the reality in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank.

They affirmed their pride in the historic Hashemite role in protecting Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and preserving their Arab identity and existing historical and legal status, stressing the importance of the international community assuming its responsibilities in achieving justice and ending the suffering of the Palestinian people.

The speakers recalled the journey of the Jordanian state and the sacrifices made by its people, led by the brave members of the Armed Forces and security services, to safeguard its security and sovereignty, affirming that protecting national achievements and continuing development is a responsibility in which the roles of generations, state institutions, and components of society complement each other.

The meeting included the recitation of national poems that celebrated Jordan, its history, and its achievements, and praised the courageous and wise positions of His Majesty the King and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince, and his role in continuing the path of development and modernization. The poems also embodied pride in the authenticity of Jordanians, the heroism of the Arab Army and security services, and the sacrifices of veterans, and evoked the meanings of pride, dignity, and honor for the Jordanian flag and the Hashemite legacy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Al-Issawi expressed his appreciation for the ideas, experiences, and national positions presented by the members of the delegation, affirming that every military retiree has a story of giving and years of responsibility and sacrifice, the details of which may only be known to the individual and their family, but they remain an integral part of the nation's memory and journey, and are held in high esteem and pride by His Majesty the King.
