The quantities of vegetables arriving at the Central Wholesale Market of the Greater Amman Municipality on Sunday reached 1,800 tons, while the quantity of fruit reached 975 tons, and leafy greens 205 tons.
According to the Central Market bulletin and the price list of items received today, based on the lowest and highest prices per kilogram, the price of Ajami black eggplant ranged between 15-25 piasters, dry onions 20-30 piasters, potatoes 20-45 piasters, tomatoes 5-11 piasters, carrots 20-30 piasters, lettuce 15-25 piasters, spinach 60-70 piasters, cucumbers 35-50 piasters, corn 20-50 piasters, cauliflower 20-60 piasters, zucchini 50-80 piasters, lemons 50-100 piasters, cabbage 25-30 piasters, mallow (molokhia) 15-25 piasters, and local bananas 60-90 piasters.
