The quantities of vegetables supplied to the Greater Amman Municipality's Central Wholesale Market on Saturday reached 2,261 tons, while the quantity of fruit stood at 1,233 tons and leafy greens at 169 tons.
According to the Central Market bulletin and the price list of items supplied today, based on the minimum and highest prices per kilogram, the price of Ajami black eggplant ranged between 15-25 piasters, dry onions 20-35 piasters, potatoes 25-47 piasters, tomatoes 5-12 piasters, carrots 25-35 piasters, lettuce 15-25 piasters, cucumbers 20-40 piasters, corn 20-50 piasters, cauliflower 20-60 piasters, zucchini 50-75 piasters, lemons 50-100 piasters, cabbage 25-30 piasters, mallow (molokhia) 15-25 piasters, and local bananas 60-90 piasters.
