The Yemeni Army announced on Wednesday the execution of 749 targeting operations against the Houthi group during the past 24 hours, stating that they resulted in the neutralization of 239 of the group's leaders and members, and the destruction and disabling of 117 combat vehicles and pieces of equipment.
This came in an army statement regarding the latest developments of the "Dawn of Yemen" military operation, which has been ongoing against the Houthis on various fronts since October 5, "to restore state institutions from the Houthis and take control of the capital, Sanaa," according to the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Rashad Al-Alimi.
The army stated that its forces are continuing their offensive operations as part of the campaign, and have carried out 749 "precision targeting operations" against Houthi military capabilities on various fronts and axes during the past 24 hours.
It explained that the operations targeted the group's field command centers, fortifications, reinforcements, and means of movement and supply.
It added that the strikes contributed to "suppressing fire sources, disrupting the militia's field command, and depriving their forward positions of support and resupply."
In Taiz Governorate (southwest), the army announced that its forces and the Popular Resistance continued to consolidate their field gains and increase pressure on Houthi positions, without specifying the areas covered by these movements.
It pointed to the continuation of offensive operations on the Al-Jawf, Marib, and Al-Bayda fronts, in addition to the southern and southwestern fronts.
According to the statement, the operations resulted in the "neutralization of 239" Houthi leaders and members, and the destruction and disabling of 117 vehicles, machines, and combat equipment.
The army affirmed its continued execution of its tasks according to the operational plan, while taking what it described as "necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian objects."
There was no immediate comment from the Houthi group regarding what the Yemeni Army announced.
These developments come amidst a military escalation in Yemen since July 2026, which is considered the most extensive since the period of relative calm that followed the start of the truce in April 2022.
Yemen has been witnessing a war since the Houthis took control of the capital, Sanaa, and several governorates in September 2014, before an Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia intervened in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government.
