It explained that the operations targeted fortifications, defensive positions, advanced observation and reconnaissance points, in addition to artillery emplacements, weapons and ammunition depots, supply warehouses, and military reinforcements "belonging to the terrorist Houthi militia" on various battlefronts.
It added that the strikes also included "legitimate and high-value military targets" deep within areas under Houthi control.
According to the statement, the operations resulted in the "neutralization of more than 1,400 members of the group" and the destruction or disabling of more than 250 vehicles, combat assets, and military equipment.
The army indicated that its ground forces, in conjunction with those operations, were able to breach Houthi defenses, recapture sites of operational importance, and consolidate what it described as "field gains," while continuing the offensive according to established military plans.
There was no immediate comment from the Houthi group regarding the statement issued by the Yemeni army.
Prior to the army's statement, Houthi group spokesperson Yahya Saree said that the past 24 hours saw 77 airstrikes and missile attacks targeting "civilian objects" in the capital, Sanaa, and the governorates of Marib, Saada, Al-Jawf, Hajjah, Taiz, and Amran.
In a post on the American platform "X," he stated that the total number of raids since the start of the escalation reached 1,934 airstrikes and missile attacks, without specifying a particular date.
These developments come after the Yemeni government announced, days ago, the "Dawn of Yemen" operation with the aim of restoring state institutions and areas under Houthi control, amid a military escalation considered the broadest since the period of relative calm that followed a truce that began in April 2022.
