Writers Association celebrates Jordanian prose between emotion, homeland, and human values

Emotional, national, and social themes varied in a prose evening organized by the Jordanian Writers and Literati Association, featuring female writers Amal Al-Khawaja, Balqis Al-Farsia, and Sawsan Al-Shomali, and moderated by writer Raja Abdul Hadi.

Association President, poet Olayan Al-Adwan, emphasized in his speech the role of the association in supporting literature and culture, embracing Jordanian creative experiences, and providing opportunities for writers to communicate with the public.

Amal Al-Khawaja presented a collection of prose texts and reflections addressing human emotions, the pain of parting and loss, alongside emotional and social themes.

Balqis Al-Farsia began her participation with a text in love for Amman, recalling what the city represents as a space of safety and embrace, then read texts from her two books "In the Heart a Different Man" and "Me and My Master Rumi", alongside a Nabati poem entitled "Knight of Lovers", and concluded her participation with the poem "I am not Arab", which addressed the responsibility of Arab peoples towards their homelands.

As for Sawsan Al-Shomali, she presented a collection of texts addressing the homeland, human relations, and societal values, alongside the text "Moon of the Hashemites", which dealt with the traits of His Majesty King Abdullah II.

At the end of the evening, Al-Adwan and members of the administrative board honored the participating female writers in appreciation of their literary contributions.
