Women's Committees Gathering in Aqaba: Jordanian Unity is Resistant to Sedition

The Jordanian National Women's Committees Gathering in Aqaba held a feminist solidarity vigil, denouncing the incident that targeted Hamoud Church in Karak Governorate, which resulted in martyrs and injuries. The participants lit candles and stood for a minute of silence in mourning for the souls of the martyrs, expressing their solidarity with their families and the injured, and their rejection of this criminal act.

The Rapporteur of the gathering, Tamara Al-Fakhri, affirmed that Jordan will remain a model of brotherhood and cohesion among its people, pointing out that targeting houses of worship and attacking the innocent represents an assault on the human values that unite Jordanians, and stressing the importance of standing as one in the face of everything that targets the security and stability of the nation.

For her part, the Media Officer of the gathering, Kholoud Al-Shuloul, emphasized that Jordanians will remain cohesive and supportive, united by one heart and one destiny, for they are one body; if one part suffers, the rest of the body suffers with sleeplessness and fever.

Al-Shuloul added that the treacherous hands that reached out to the people of Jordan in Karak Governorate will not undermine the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, affirming her confidence in the Jordanian security services and their ability to pursue the perpetrators of this criminal act and bring them to justice as soon as possible.

She stressed that Jordan will remain, under its Hashemite leadership, its army, its security services, and its people, a unified nation resistant to sedition, praying to God to protect the nation, the leader of the nation, its army, and its people, and to perpetuate the blessing of security, stability, and tranquility in Jordan.

The participants in the vigil affirmed that the unity and solidarity of Jordanians constitute a safety valve for the nation, and that the people of Jordan, in all their spectrums and components, are united by national belonging and a common destiny, pointing out that the vigil embodies the rejection of violence and extremism, and expresses human and national solidarity, praying to God to cover the martyrs with His vast mercy and grant the injured a speedy recovery.
