Yaqoub anticipated that the Kingdom would witness weather conditions in the coming period that contribute to raising the water level, with continued chances of rainfall during autumn.
He pointed out that the chances of rainfall during October will be intermittent, and may be light, scattered, and local in nature, with variations from one region to another.
He drew attention to the possibility of repeating weather conditions during the second half of October, coinciding with an increase in the chances of the Kingdom being affected by air masses that may contribute to increasing rainfall amounts.
He explained that some climatic phenomena, including the El Niño phenomenon, may have effects on weather patterns during the coming period, pointing out that the rise in ocean temperatures over the past period may affect the ocean surface, the atmosphere, and the air masses affecting the region.
Yaqoub expected the Kingdom to continue to be affected by a humid air mass, with chances of light and scattered rain showers, especially in the northern regions, as well as parts of the eastern and southeastern regions, noting that the chances of atmospheric instability are expected to increase gradually during October.
Yaqoub said that the Kingdom is experiencing pleasant weather in most areas, while it is relatively hot in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, with the possibility of light and scattered rain showers in the northern Kingdom, in addition to parts of the southeastern regions, including the city of Aqaba.
He added that temperatures will rise by about two degrees Celsius on Saturday, with clouds appearing at different altitudes, and the possibility of light and scattered rain showers in the early morning hours in parts of the eastern and southeastern regions.
The weather will be slightly cold at night in most areas of the Kingdom, while it remains pleasant in the Jordan Valley, the Dead Sea, and Aqaba, and the minimum temperatures in Amman will range between 15 and 16 degrees Celsius, and around 14 degrees in the northern highlands.
