The administration of President Donald Trump approved on Friday a potential deal to sell 500 Patriot missiles to Ukraine, according to the US Department of State.
The department stated that "the proposed deal will enhance Ukraine's ability to counter current and future threats by developing its integrated air and missile defense capabilities."
