He added that this achievement is the fruit of integrated institutional efforts aimed at fostering a culture of quality at the university, developing policies and procedures, unifying institutional practices, and spreading awareness of international specifications requirements, which contributes to achieving the university's strategic goals, supports its path of development and modernization, and enhances its ability to respond to the evolving requirements of higher education.
For her part, the Vice President for Quality and National Accreditation Affairs, Amira Al-Masri, pointed out that the university's acquisition of these certificates represents an important milestone in its journey toward enhancing the quality system and institutional excellence, given the clear frameworks these specifications provide for developing operations, raising performance efficiency, and improving services provided to students, employees, and beneficiaries.
She explained that achieving this milestone came with the support of the university presidency and as a result of the efforts exerted by the Accreditation and Quality Assurance Center and the relevant committees, in cooperation with various colleges, centers, and academic and administrative units, in reviewing and developing policies and procedures, documenting operations, implementing internal auditing, addressing improvement opportunities, enhancing risk management practices, and spreading a culture of quality.
It is noteworthy that the ISO 9001 certificate enhances the implementation of an integrated quality management system and improves institutional processes, while the ISO 21001 certificate focuses on the educational organizations management system and raises the efficiency of its operations to meet the needs of learners and beneficiaries, whereas the ISO 31000 standard provides a guiding framework for risk management, helping organizations identify, analyze, and deal with risks within an organized institutional approach.
The qualification work included training liaison officers representing various university entities, which contributed to building a trained institutional team distributed across its academic and administrative units to support the implementation and sustainability of the specification requirements, and to consolidate continuous improvement.
