US President Donald Trump said that the United States may "annihilate Iran", considering launching new attacks on it as possible, while saying that Washington's position on Tehran is "very good" and that Iran wants to reach an agreement.
Trump added that Iran cannot be allowed to possess nuclear weapons, pointing out that its proposal to open the Strait of Hormuz is insufficient, and that oil prices will drop to their previous levels once an agreement is reached.
He said that the United States controls the Strait of Hormuz, and that it transported the largest amount of oil through it last night, and denied reports of a shortage of US ammunition, affirming that his country has large quantities of it.
Trump pointed out that resuming attacks on Iran after the US midterm elections is possible.
