US President Donald Trump said on Friday that the United States will never allow Iran to obtain a nuclear weapon, describing Iran as "the world's leading sponsor of terrorism."
Trump added, in remarks coinciding with the commemoration of the September 11 attacks, that the United States continues to fight against terrorism, saying that "we have no choice but to confront it."
Trump said that the United States, after the "September 11 test," is going through a new test today, adding: "We have proven our success in it."
He pointed out that "we cannot forget the moment of evil on September 11," adding that the United States is discovering today "our country's identity," and that it must be "strong and smart."
Trump emphasized that the United States will never forget what happened in the September 11 attacks, saying: "Today we fight in fulfillment of this oath."
Trump reiterated his stance on the Iranian nuclear program, saying: "We will never allow Iran to acquire a nuclear weapon."
