US President Donald Trump hosted leaders of several prominent tech companies on Tuesday in a White House meeting that addressed artificial intelligence.

In a press statement following the meeting, Trump said the meeting was good and productive, adding: "What we all have in common is that we love our country, we love the world, and we want to make sure this place is safe."
He noted that the topics discussed during the meeting would make this place much better and safer.
Trump described the tech company leaders as "the brightest people in the world," claiming that Chinese President Xi Jinping agrees.
Trump claimed that the United States has a significant advantage in artificial intelligence and will maintain it.
He also pointed out that this technology is not "artificial" and announced that he would sign a legal amendment to rename it "superintelligence."
Trump emphasized the need for "self-regulation" of this technology, explaining that institutions like the Department of Justice and the FBI automatically monitor it.
