The Urban Development Authority Discusses Procedures for Developing Al-Qatraneh and Muhi Projects

The Director General of the Public Housing and Urban Development Corporation, Engineer Jumana Al-Atiyat, held a meeting at the Karak Governorate building, in the presence of Karak Governorate Assistant Anbar Al-Sulaitat, a representative of the Land and Survey Department, members of the joint committee, technical staff at the Corporation, and representatives of citizens benefiting from the Al-Qatraneh and Muhi '1+2' projects.

During the meeting, the necessary procedures and steps to complete the reception of benefit requests from the two projects, a field review of the status of the two projects, and mechanisms for benefiting from the land, completing requests, and correcting situations were discussed.

A number of observations raised by citizens regarding certain land plots, individual cases, administrative prices, and lots covered by the decision were also discussed, which contributes to speeding up and facilitating the citizens' benefit from the two projects.

Last year, the Corporation announced the reception of benefit requests from the Al-Qatraneh and Muhi '1+2' projects in Karak Governorate, within the Treasury Land Development Program for housing purposes, to correct the status of land plots and enable citizens to benefit from them according to the facilities and benefits granted by the Council of Ministers decision, in addition to completing the necessary procedures for developing the two projects and improving the services provided to citizens.

Engineer Al-Atiyat, Director General of the Corporation, stressed the importance of joint cooperation and coordination between the Corporation, Karak Governorate, the Municipality, the Land and Survey Department, and citizens in the two areas to implement the Council of Ministers decision and achieve its purpose, explaining that the decision includes a number of privileges and facilities provided to citizens, including discounts and installments.

She called on citizens to expedite the completion of procedures for benefiting from these privileges and correcting the status of plots covered by the decision, and to take advantage of the extension of the exemption period for correcting the status of buildings until the end of the current year, stressing the importance of reviewing the Corporation and completing the necessary legal procedures to preserve citizens' rights and avoid any subsequent actions.

She explained that the Corporation will start implementing roads and a playground for the Al-Qatraneh project, and roads and a garden in the Muhi project, as the two bids have been finally referred for implementation, with the aim of developing the land, improving the level of services and infrastructure in the two projects, and providing a suitable living environment for citizens.

For his part, Karak Governorate Assistant Al-Sulaitat stressed the importance of cooperation between citizens and relevant parties with the Corporation, which contributes to implementing the Council of Ministers decision and completing the required procedures, and facilitating citizens' benefit from the two projects, which meets their needs and achieves the public interest.
