The United Nations reported today, Wednesday, that multiple airstrikes occurred in Gaza over the past two days, in addition to shelling, demolition explosions, naval fire, and gunfire across all governorates of the Strip, particularly in areas located west of what is known as the "Yellow Line."
Deputy UN Spokesperson Farhan Haq emphasized, in the daily press briefing, the necessity of protecting civilians and civilian infrastructure at all times.
Haq, citing UN partners working in the Strip, stated that some much-needed supplies have been brought into Gaza; however, they are insufficient to meet the needs of the population, as delivery operations face obstacles caused by a lack of funding and Israeli restrictions.
These restrictions include banning the activities of some partners, limiting the import of vital materials such as engine oil and spare parts, and imposing access restrictions on more than 64 percent of the territory.
The UN Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights in the West Bank reported that Israeli forces raided Palestinian civil society organization headquarters and a medical complex in Ramallah yesterday, confiscating files and equipment and detaining individuals.
