The October 2026 Film Opportunities Bulletin, issued by the Royal Film Commission - Jordan, provides a range of participation and submission opportunities for filmmakers and screenwriters, including script development labs, international festivals, and calls for film submissions.
The 281st issue of the bulletin includes diverse opportunities, such as the fourth edition of the "Sardiyat" lab for screenwriters, the Arab Film Festival at the Arab American National Museum, the Al Ard Film Festival, and the "I Am a Migrant" festival, in addition to international festivals in Hong Kong, Melbourne, Palm Springs, Glasgow, Venice, Nijmegen, and Kitakyushu, as well as "CineForte International."
The opportunities presented include important updates for filmmakers; the Al Ard Film Festival is accepting submissions for its 23rd edition until October 31, with its competitions dedicated to feature and short documentaries that address Palestine or the Arab world, while the "I Am a Migrant" festival is accepting submissions for its third edition, scheduled to take place in London from March 12 to 26, 2027, with applications open until the announced deadline of December 10.
These opportunities provide multiple paths for filmmakers to develop their projects, submit their work to international screening platforms, and engage with diverse cinematic experiences, allowing them to expand their professional presence and reach a wider audience.
