"The Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs": The Hashemite Address Embodies a Strategic Map for Global Security

The Secretary-General of the Royal Committee for Jerusalem Affairs, Abdullah Kanaan, said that the Hashemite thought is always based on legal, humanitarian, and historical legitimacy constants, related to the consolidation of global peace and security, starting from a fixed base represented by national and national security, considering it a path and goal for any proposed international peace and security strategy.

The solution to the Palestinian issue and its core, Jerusalem, forms the basis of the Hashemite leadership's efforts in various international forums, including the United Nations and its affiliated organizations.

He confirmed to the Jordanian News Agency (Petra) that the Hashemite royal address before the United Nations, last Tuesday, during the opening session of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly, represents the Jordanian diplomatic and political window to the world and the Hashemite call for peace. It includes the main rules for any proposed peace model and contains mandatory elements for the hoped-for human coexistence strategy, namely the legal rights of peoples, foremost among them the Palestinian people, and international legitimacy represented by international resolutions, principles, and agreements, including those related to the Palestinian issue.

He described the speech as balanced and wise, consisting of a Hashemite equation that does not accept negotiation and change, represented by Jordanian national security, Arab, Islamic, and regional national security, especially in this region inflamed with wars, crises, and challenges, which Israel has caused to expand in service of its Zionist plans.

He pointed out that the speech accurately monitored Israel's policy of changing the existing historical and legal situation, especially in the West Bank, including Jerusalem, in a way that goes beyond mere repeated attacks to reach systematic plans and efforts to bring about radical change through settlement, settler attacks protected by the Israeli police and army, and the policy of burning, confiscating property, demolishing houses, forced eviction, and displacement.

He noted that Israel uses counter-media to present itself to the world as a law-abiding and democratic state, and accuses those who fight for their legitimate rights of being "rioters and religious warfare."

He said that the royal awareness is evident in understanding the facts of Israeli falsification and terminological manipulation by the media supporting it, while it kills and attacks journalists and media who publish a different true narrative from its media and its government's attempt to create a Zionist terminological dictionary that reverses facts and deprives rights.

He explained that the royal speech did not limit itself to explaining the reality to the leaders of the 193 member states of the General Assembly and placing the global public opinion in front of the suffering of the Palestinian people in the West Bank, Jerusalem, Gaza, and all occupied Palestine, but also reminded the world of Israel's rejection of the Arab Peace Initiative in 2002 and the opportunity it presented for peace with 57 Arab and Islamic states.

He added that the speech anticipates the problem areas of peace, namely Israeli intransigence and its policy against international legitimacy, which has made its resolutions mere ink on paper and its escape from the supposed punishment for those who violate international law, pointing to the existence of hundreds of international resolutions issued by the United Nations that Israel rejects and has not implemented.

Kanaan affirmed that the Committee, which takes pride, as does the Jordanian people and all free people in the world, in the Hashemite royal messages in the UN speech, believes that the peace and stability strategy proposed by the custodian of the historical custodianship of the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem is the only legitimate and legal way to real peace, not the peace of force and the law of the jungle that Israel adheres to and plans for.

He explained that a strong Jordan, adhering to its right to defend its national security, is a support for Palestine and the entire nation and a supporting asset for the stability of the region and the guarantee of its security linked to international security.
