The Journalists' Syndicate Opens the Door to Benefit from University Grants

The Council of the Jordanian Journalists' Syndicate announced, on Monday, the opening of the door to benefit from university grants, in accordance with the approved conditions and instructions.

The Syndicate clarified that the reception of applications starts from the morning of tomorrow, Tuesday, and ends at twelve noon on the coming Thursday, and no application submitted after the specified time will be considered.

Regarding the university grants for the sons and daughters of the members of the General Assembly, the Syndicate explained that the applicant must be the son or daughter of a colleague who is a practicing member of the General Assembly in the Syndicate, and must not have benefited from any university educational opportunity when applying for the grant.

It emphasized that priority is given to students who have not previously benefited from the Syndicate's grants in previous years, while a colleague is entitled to submit only one grant application for each son or daughter, and the grants are awarded to the highest-scoring students according to the results of the secondary general certificate.

It is also required to equate the secondary general certificate issued from outside the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan with the competent official authorities.

As for the master's grant for active members, it is required that the applicant be a practicing member and have paid his financial obligations until the date of application, and not have previously benefited from any grant provided by the Syndicate, and that he has professional experience.

Priority is given to members who have not obtained higher education grants from other entities or educational opportunities from the Syndicate.

As for the required documents for the university grants for the sons and daughters of the members of the General Assembly, they include a certified copy of the secondary general certificate marks for the year 2026, and a copy of the personal ID card issued by the Civil Status Department on both sides, while students who have obtained a non-Jordanian secondary general certificate must attach a certificate of equivalence issued by the competent official authorities.

As for the required documents for the master's grant for active members, they include a certified copy of the bachelor's certificate and the marks statement, an updated curriculum vitae including professional experience, a copy of the valid membership card, and a financial clearance from the Syndicate.

The Syndicate invited colleagues wishing to inquire and submit applications to visit the headquarters of the Journalists' Syndicate during official working hours, or to communicate with the Syndicate through digital communication means.
