The blood is Jordanian.. and that is enough

In Jordan, tragedies are not weighed on the scale of sects, nor are calamities read through the names of families or origins and backgrounds. When martyrs fall and the innocent are wounded, their religious identities do not fall away, nor do their origins replace their belonging; rather, all of Jordan bleeds, and the nation is wounded in one of its sons. So, what is the message?

In Jordan, blood has never been Christian or Muslim; it was and will remain Jordanian blood, uniting us under one flag, shaded by a firm national identity that does not change with changing circumstances, nor is it affected by attempts at sedition and division. Jordanians are accustomed to sharing joys and sorrows, standing together in adversity before prosperity, and they are too great to be summarized by an incident, and too strong to be torn apart by the hand of treachery.

Jordan is no stranger to tests of security and stability, and attempts to undermine its internal front are not new. However, the bet on dismantling its unity has remained, and will remain, a losing bet before a people who possess enough awareness, belonging, and resilience to make them capable of thwarting the schemes of sedition, no matter how varied their forms or how their tools change.

In such circumstances, the value of a leadership close to its people is manifested, which was reflected by the presence of His Majesty King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein in the field, and his keenness to visit the injured and check on them on the same day, despite the difficult circumstances, in a clear message that the Jordanian is not alone in facing pain, and that the leadership stands by its people in moments of ordeal.

It is certain that Jordan will not be a theater for sedition, and it will not allow the people of darkness to sow among its sons what their hearts have never known of hatred or division. Here, in this homeland, homelands do not multiply with the multiplicity of sects, dignity is not fragmented by the multiplicity of religions, and the value of blood does not differ according to the identity of its owner. Here, there is one homeland, one flag, one destiny, and one Jordanian blood that knows no discrimination.

In conclusion, whoever thinks that targeting a church or a mosque can split the ranks of Jordanians has not understood Jordan or its people. Every time the hand of treachery tries to open a wound in the body of the nation, Jordanians prove that their unity is stronger than terrorism, their awareness is greater than sedition, and their house will remain one, no matter how intense the storms. The blood is Jordanian, the land is Jordanian, and the house is one; and whoever touches one of us, touches all of Jordan.
