There is no goal to this criminal act in Karak other than to destabilize this country, which sets an example with every sunrise of resilience, brotherhood, and national unity. Yet, it did not achieve any of its goals except taking the lives of innocent people—we ask God to grant them mercy, and we console their families with all the emotions and solidarity we possess. We ask about the timing, the goal, and the message, and we answer: nothing, zero goals, zero message, and zero result. No, on the contrary, it brings more cohesion, more resilience, and a determination to continue at the same pace—nay, with even greater activity and determination.
The moment the negative effects of any conflict or war in the region, or any local or regional event, appear, they manifest on the economy. Therefore, the impact of this on the public mood can be understood through what the image of events reflects of contradictions and interactions.
What is happening undoubtedly affects the rhythm of daily life, as well as plans, programs, projects, businesses, and social and tourism activities. It disrupts them, undermines the public mood, and even pollutes it.
We must try to create a balance between the negative effects and the positive local interactions, and this is what we must do toward this country even in the most difficult of times.
We must do this in order to deny the opportunity to anyone waiting for the right time to pounce on the country. We must consolidate stability and move forward strongly toward political, economic, and social reforms.
Life is normal in Jordan, and business is as usual, but this requires people's faith, fighting despair, and believing that there is always light at the end of the tunnel. For we are a nation that lives by hope, but work is no less important either.
If you are not in the middle or on the margins of the conspiracies being hatched, their shrapnel will inevitably hit you. All you have to do is protect yourself at a time when there is no one who can or cares to protect you, and no one scratches your itch like your own fingernail.
We heal the wound and respond to terrorism with more work so that these criminals do not achieve their goal.
