Jordan unites us… and sedition does not know the hearts of Jordanians

Not everything that shakes the homeland can break it, and not every pain opens a door to division. In Jordan, there is a story greater than all attempts at sedition; the story of a people who learned that a neighbor is a brother, that the pain of others is their own, and that human dignity remains more precious than any difference.

What Karak witnessed reminds us that the most dangerous thing painful events can leave behind is not the pain itself, but that it turns into a gateway for hatred and division, and that we allow those who want discord to snatch from us the most beautiful thing we have: our national unity.

In Jordan, a Muslim never asked his Christian neighbor about his religion before opening his door to him, and joys and sorrows never knew boundaries between a mosque and a church. We were raised on love and tolerance, and we shared bread, joy, and sadness, until the brotherhood between Muslims and Christians became an integral part of our homeland's identity and history.

The Jordanian Christian is not a guest in his homeland, and the Jordanian Muslim is not the sole owner of this land; both are partners in building Jordan and shaping its history and future. Jordan has never been a single color, but a beautiful painting in which the colors of its children have gathered under one flag.

In this context, the words of His Majesty King Abdullah II ibn Al-Hussein via the "X" platform came to confirm that the unity of Jordanians is stronger than attempts at treachery and sedition, saying:

"Whoever imagines that the bullets of treachery can split the ranks of Jordanians, their efforts will fail before our steadfastness and unity. All Jordanians, from the north of the country to its south, are partners in land and stance, and treachery will not penetrate between them. The blood of a Jordanian is precious, and we will strike with an iron fist anyone who transgresses against this country."

It is a message that summarizes the story of a nation: beliefs may differ, but belonging does not; houses of worship may be many, but the land is one and the destiny is shared. Jordanians are not just children of one homeland, but one family united by the bonds of history, sacrifice, and loyalty.

Our responsibility today is to reject sedition, rumors, and incitement, to leave it to the law to hold those responsible accountable, and not to allow a crime to turn into a means of division among the children of one people.

To our Christian family and brothers: your pain is the pain of every Jordanian, and your affliction is the affliction of the entire nation. You are not alone, and a treacherous crime will not erase a history of love and brotherhood.

We do not need to be alike to love each other, nor do we need to agree on everything to stand together. It is enough that we are Jordanians, that this homeland is a trust around our necks, and that our children deserve to inherit a country where they learn love, not hatred, and partnership, not exclusion.

Jordan unites us… and national unity is our red line. We will remain one rank, behind our Hashemite leadership, holding fast to our homeland, rejecting anyone who tries to undermine its security and stability.

May God protect Jordan, its Hashemite leadership, and its people, and may He perpetuate upon it the blessing of security, love, and stability.
