The Hashemite leadership plays a pivotal role in consolidating these values through an approach of moderation and centrism, protecting the social fabric, promoting a culture of dialogue and tolerance, and continuously emphasizing that all Jordanians are partners in the homeland, equal in dignity, rights, and duties. The message of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, has been linked to the call for peace, brotherhood, and respect for religions, presenting a bright image of Jordan as a state that believes in dialogue and rejects extremism and exclusion.
Protecting national unity is not limited to state institutions alone, but is a shared responsibility borne by every citizen through their awareness, behavior, words, and positions. Every responsible word contributes to protecting society, every stance that rejects discrimination and hatred strengthens trust among its people, and every initiative that brings people together in love and belonging forms a new building block in constructing the nation.
In light of the turmoil the world is witnessing, and attempts to spread extremism and incite religious and sectarian conflicts, national awareness becomes increasingly important, as does the necessity of confronting rumors and inflammatory rhetoric that target the social fabric. A conscious society realizes that the security and stability of the homeland is a collective responsibility, and that a difference in religion or opinion does not diminish a person's right to respect and full citizenship.
Hence, the Jordanian state, with its institutions and specialized agencies, will not be lenient with anyone who dares to threaten the security of the homeland, undermine its national unity, or incite hatred and violence. It will continue to fulfill its duty in protecting citizens and safeguarding societal peace, in accordance with the Constitution and the law, in a manner that ensures justice and preserves the dignity of all.
Firmness in confronting everything that threatens national unity does not conflict with tolerance, but rather protects it; for tolerance does not mean allowing attacks on others, and openness does not mean accepting discourse that sows sedition. A strong state is one that protects its citizens and applies the law to everyone.
As for our responsibility, it lies in being more aware of what we publish and circulate, and not allowing rumors or individual positions to turn into judgments on entire groups. The wrongdoer is held accountable for their actions, and it is not permissible to hold a society, religion, or group responsible for the behavior of an individual. This is a fundamental rule in consolidating justice and protecting true coexistence.
Jordan will remain a homeland that brings its people together under one flag, one Hashemite leadership, and a firm national identity. Muslims and Christians within it will remain one people, one blood, and one goal. We will not allow sedition to find its way among us, and we will not allow anyone to tamper with our security or weaken our unity; because Jordan is greater than all attempts to target it, and because the cohesion of Jordanians is the first line of defense for their homeland. Our national unity is a red line; we protect it with awareness, safeguard it with justice, strengthen it with love and belonging, and pass it on to future generations as a trust that cannot be compromised. May you, the Hashemite leadership, and the homeland always be well.
