The Arab Parliament Condemns the Incursion of Settlers into Al-Aqsa Mosque

The President of the Arab Parliament, Muhammad bin Ahmed Al-Yamani, condemned in the strongest terms the incursion of hundreds of settlers into the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, and the accompanying performance of religious rituals within its courtyards, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, considering it a blatant violation of the sanctity of the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the historical and legal status quo in the city of Jerusalem and its holy sites. Al-Yamani pointed out that what is happening is not just transient incursions, but a systematic escalation targeting the change of the identity of Al-Aqsa Mosque and imposing a new status quo within it, leading to an attempt to institutionalize temporal and spatial division.

Al-Yamani warned that the continuation of these extremist practices under the protection of the occupation forces represents a serious provocation to the feelings of millions and a direct threat to security and stability in the region, stressing that the Al-Aqsa Mosque, in its entirety, is a place of pure worship for Muslims, and that tampering with its historical and legal status or attempting to impose any new reality within it is categorically rejected, affirming that Jerusalem and its holy sites are not an open arena for projects of extremism and settlement.

The President of the Arab Parliament called on the international community and the Security Council to move from statements of condemnation to practical and binding measures to stop these violations and hold those responsible accountable, stressing that the continued impunity encourages the occupation entity to continue its violations, affirming that the Al-Aqsa Mosque is a red line, and that attempts to change its identity or impose a new status quo within it will not grant the occupation entity legitimacy over Jerusalem, and will not pass without a political, legal, and parliamentary Arab and international confrontation.
