The Arab Episcopal School: Terrorism will not target our national fabric

The Arab Episcopal School in Irbid Governorate affirmed that terrorism will not target our national fabric, and that attempts at sedition and cowardly aggression were shattered yesterday—as they always are—against the rock of solid popular awareness, stressing that terrorism does not distinguish between Muslim and Christian, as everyone in this homeland is targeted by extremist ideology without exception, and everyone stands against it as one hand.

The pastor of the Virgin Mary Episcopal Church and General Manager of the school, Father Samir Salem, said that all monotheistic religions agree on rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, and denounce these abhorrent actions that attempt to undermine the security of the homeland, confirming that terrorism is blind and does not distinguish between Muslim and Christian, and that Jordanians have lived for long decades as loving brothers in one country, shaded by tolerance and united by the unity of purpose and destiny under the Hashemite banner.

Father Samir Salem stressed that all Jordanians rally behind the Hashemite leadership, the armed forces, and the security services, based on what His Majesty King Abdullah II affirmed, that any aggression affecting any Jordanian citizen or an inch of this homeland's soil is an aggression targeting all Jordanians, pointing out that the cohesion of the Jordanian people in the face of challenges is the strongest and most eloquent response to anyone who attempts to tamper with the security of the homeland.

For her part, the school principal, Ms. Sabah Zureiqat, explained that the targeting and desperate attempts to destabilize security only increase Jordanians' strength and cohesion, confirming that the school's educational mission is based on building conscious generations that believe that good citizenship and national unity are the fortified shield for protecting Jordan and its achievements.

For their part, the school students expressed their absolute rejection of any attempts to sow sedition, affirming that the church and the mosque are all houses of God that bring Jordanians together in piety and love. The students stressed that the proud Karak and all of Jordan will remain resistant to terrorism, and that any desperate attempt at aggression or sedition will be met by Jordanians with vigilance and direct opposition, expressing their sincere thanks and appreciation for the efforts of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the heroes of Karak, and all state institutions and security services that stand as an impenetrable barrier to protect the homeland and safeguard its security.
