Technical Committee for Amman International Book Fair Finalizes Preparations for Silver Jubilee Edition

The Technical Committee for the Amman International Book Fair 2026 has finalized its organizational and technical arrangements for the 25th edition of the fair, which will be held under Royal patronage from September 24 to October 3 at the Jordan International Exhibition Center – Mecca Mall.

Vice President of the Jordan Publishers Union and Head of the Fair's Technical Committee, Walid Sabah, confirmed that the committee began its work following the closure of registration. It has been working on reviewing participation applications, establishing arrangements for booth distribution, organizing visitor flow, and coordinating with relevant authorities to ensure the fair is ready for its launch.

Sabah noted that the upcoming edition, which coincides with the celebration of the fair's Silver Jubilee, is witnessing significant interest from local, Arab, and international publishing houses. He highlighted the committee's commitment to achieving a fair and balanced distribution of available space, allowing publishers to present their new releases and strengthening the presence of books and the publishing industry in this cultural event.

Preparations included approving the general engineering layout for the exhibition halls to ensure smooth visitor movement and reduce congestion, as well as technical and logistical coordination regarding the receipt and clearance of books according to specific schedules, and adopting a work agenda to monitor preparation stages leading up to the opening of the fair. The 25th edition serves as a celebratory milestone in the journey of the Amman International Book Fair, which has established its presence as one of the most prominent annual cultural events in Jordan, a platform that brings together publishers, authors, and readers, and provides a space to introduce new releases and accompanying cultural programs.

In addition to its head, Walid Sabah, the Technical Committee includes Mufleh Al-Jarrah, Mohammed Sobhi, Osama Abu Haltam, and Najib Al-Abbas.
