In the field of work injury insurance, "Social Security" has cumulatively dealt with about 683,000 work injuries, while it has disbursed unemployment allowances to more than 485,000 insured individuals, revealing that about 92,000 insured women have benefited from maternity insurance since its implementation to date, while the number of beneficiaries of the "Ri'aya" program has exceeded 38,000 insured women.
It indicated that it provides social protection for workers and their families against various risks that may affect their lives and living stability, starting from work injuries and the resulting disability or death, through maternity insurance and the rights it provides to working mothers, and cases of natural disability and death, up to the retirement stage. It also contributes to enabling establishments to fulfill their obligations toward their employees and enhancing stability in the labor market.
It added that it will continue its efforts to reach all workers on the Kingdom's territory and include them in its insurance, by employing qualitative tools based on databases available to the concerned authorities and enhancing electronic connectivity with them, which supports expanding inclusion and reaching groups not yet covered by the insurance umbrella.
Within the framework of enhancing workers' access to its services, the Corporation pointed to the "Include Yourself" service, in addition to communication channels via social media platforms and the 24/7 call center, noting its intention to provide two windows dedicated to complaints and suggestions via its smartphone application during the current week, as well as providing electronic payment services in the coming days.
It emphasized that developing qualitative and contemporary services for the insured, retirees, and establishments represents a strategic goal that tops its priorities, noting that the next phase will witness developments in electronic services based on the development of the technological infrastructure in the Kingdom, including utilizing the "Sanad" application as one of the primary channels to access its services.
The Corporation stressed that its ambition is not limited to digitizing existing services, but extends to developing proactive and smart services that revolve around customer needs and employ modern technologies to increase procedural efficiency and improve service quality.
It confirmed that the next phase will witness further expansion, modernization, and development, which will enhance public confidence in the Corporation, maintain its pivotal role in the social protection system, and increase its ability to respond to changes and keep pace with future requirements.
