Queen Rania Al-Abdullah inaugurates the fourth edition of Amman Design Week under the theme 'Accumulations'

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah inaugurated Amman Design Week today at Ras Al-Ain Hangar in Amman, ahead of opening the week's events to visitors for two weeks starting from Friday, October 2nd until the 17th.

The events of the fourth edition of Amman Design Week, which was launched in 2016 by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, are being held at five main locations: Ras Al-Ain, Jabal Al-Luweibdeh, Jabal Amman, Iraq Al-Amir, and Aqaba Governorate. The free program includes exhibitions, workshops, dialogues, and various cultural initiatives.

Her Majesty toured the hangar accompanied by HRH Princess Iman bint Abdullah II, members of the Royal Family, and guests. In the presence of the co-directors of Amman Design Week, Sarah Hijazi and Basher Al-Tabaa, she viewed a collection of creative works and designs by designers and artists from Jordan, Palestine, Syria, Lebanon, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Egypt, India, and Armenia.

Amman Design Week 2026 is organized in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality, under the theme 'Accumulations', with the participation of 220 designers, makers, and innovators from Jordan, the region, and the world, showcasing their creative collections and works in 59 participating spaces through 204 events.

This year's edition draws its themes from the details of daily life, and from the impact of place, materials, and memory in shaping what surrounds us; exploring how design forms and evolves over time, and how it is influenced by inherited knowledge and the material, social, and environmental processes within which it arises.
