Prayers and bells of the Latin Church in Ajloun ring in solidarity with Karak

The Latin Church in Ajloun Governorate held prayers and rang its bells this Saturday evening in solidarity with the victims of the events witnessed in Karak Governorate.

Acting Ajloun Governor Ali Al-Haisah said that the painful events witnessed in Karak have saddened all Jordanians, stressing that solidarity with the victims' families reflects the depth of the national and humanitarian bonds that unite the people of the nation, and that Jordan, through the unity and cohesion of its people, will remain resilient against attempts to incite division and undermine its national fabric.

He added that participating in this occasion embodies the values of fraternity and solidarity that characterize Jordanian society, pointing to the importance of strengthening national awareness and standing by state institutions in their efforts to protect citizens and maintain the security and stability of the homeland.

The priest of the Saint Paul the Apostle parish, Father Johnny Bahbah, said that holding prayers and ringing the church bells came as an expression of grief for the victims of the Karak events and in solidarity with their families, stressing that this occasion carries a message of love and peace and embodies the depth of the brotherly relations that unite Muslims and Christians in Jordan.

He pointed out that Islamic-Christian fraternity represents an established value in Jordanian society, and that painful events will not undermine the unity of its people, emphasizing the importance of upholding the values of tolerance, rejecting violence and hatred, and preserving the humanitarian and national bonds that unite Jordanians.

Bahbah prayed to God to shower the victims with His vast mercy, grant their families patience and solace, grant the injured a speedy recovery, protect Jordan, its leadership, and its people, perpetuate the blessing of security and stability, and spare it from all forms of violence and extremism.
