The Directorate of Education for the North-East Badia region has launched the Arab Reading Challenge project in its 11th season.

The Director of the Directorate, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sharafat, emphasized the importance of the Arab Reading Challenge project in establishing a culture of reading among students, developing their linguistic and cognitive skills, and broadening their intellectual and cultural horizons, noting that reading represents a fundamental pillar in building a student's personality, enhancing their abilities for thinking, creativity, and analysis, and preparing them to be an active individual in their society.

Al-Sharafat pointed out the Directorate's keenness to support educational and cultural initiatives that contribute to refining students' talents, motivating them to read, research, and explore, and strengthening their connection to the Arabic language, in line with the project's goals of building a conscious, educated generation that loves knowledge.

Student Ahed Khreis, in a speech on behalf of the winning students, expressed her and her colleagues' pride in participating in this Arab cultural project, emphasizing the importance of reading in enriching knowledge and developing capabilities, and appreciating the efforts of the Directorate and educational staff in supporting students and encouraging them to excel and be creative.

Within the framework of introducing the project, educational supervisor Dr. Bassam Al-Azamat provided an explanation of the mechanism for participating in the Arab Reading Challenge and the competition stages for the current season, clarifying the importance of persistence in reading, summarizing books, and developing students' comprehension, assimilation, and expression skills.

The launch of the project comes as a confirmation of the keenness of the Directorate of Education for the North-East Badia region to spread a culture of reading, enhance creativity and excellence among students, consolidate the status of the Arabic language, and contribute to building a generation that possesses knowledge, awareness, and the ability to keep pace with the requirements of the future.
