The General Secretariat of the Arab Media Award announced the opening of submissions for the 26th edition of the award, starting tomorrow, Tuesday, in the main categories: the "Arab Journalism Award" and the "Visual Media Award", in addition to the "Media Personality of the Year" award.
The General Secretariat of the Award stated in a statement today, Monday, that the "Arab Journalism Award" includes 4 categories: Investigative Journalism, Political Journalism, Economic Journalism, and Best Columnist.
Under the "Visual Media Award" fall 5 categories: "Best Economic Program", "Best Cultural Program", "Best Sports Program", and "Best Social Program", in addition to "Best Documentary Work".
Participating works are required to have been published in a media outlet—whether print, visual, or digital—between January 11, 2026, and January 10, 2027. Nominations are to be submitted via the website (https://dpc.org.ae/ar/AMA).
The award accepts individual entries or teamwork entries within the categories of the Arab Journalism Award, while entries in the Visual Media Award categories are restricted to media institutions.
The award is granted by a decision of the Award's Board of Directors in appreciation of figures with a rich professional and intellectual career who have had an influential presence in the Arab media landscape and contributions to elevating the content of the media and enhancing its message.
