Qatar condemns Ben Gvir's storming of Al-Aqsa Mosque

The State of Qatar condemned the storming of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque by the extremist Israeli National Security Minister and groups of settlers under the protection of the occupation police, considering it a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, and an unacceptable provocation to the feelings of millions of Muslims around the world.

According to Qatar News Agency (QNA), the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed, in a statement today, Monday, that the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque represents a place of worship exclusively for Muslims, and that all unilateral measures aimed at changing the historical and legal status quo in Jerusalem and its sanctities are null and void under international law.

The ministry warned that the continuation of these repeated violations and provocations would fuel cycles of violence and escalation in the region, and undermine the chances of calm and stability. It renewed its call on the international community to take urgent action to compel Israel to stop its continuous violations against the Palestinian people and their sanctities, and to comply with relevant international legitimacy resolutions.

It also renewed the steadfast position of the State of Qatar in support of the Palestinian cause and the steadfastness of the brotherly Palestinian people, based on ending the occupation and enabling the Palestinian people to attain their legitimate rights, foremost of which is the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
