The Greater Amman Municipality announced temporary traffic diversions on Istiqlal Street, starting from midnight on Thursday for two days, in conjunction with the removal of pedestrian bridges in the section extending between Istiqlal Hospital and Al-Dawra Roundabout.
The Municipality explained that the work requires a complete closure of the street lanes at the work site, and the diversion of traffic according to specific routes.
Traffic coming from Al-Dawra Roundabout: Turn right onto Khalid bin Al-Walid Street, then left onto Al-Jaleel Street, then left onto Muhammad Huwaimel Al-Zein Street to reach Al-Urdun Street.
Traffic coming from the Royal Palaces Bridge towards Al-Dawra Roundabout: Turn right onto Al-Zahir Baybars Bridge, then towards Al-Urdun Street and Al-Maleka Alia Street.
The Municipality called on drivers to adhere to the instructions of traffic management staff and warning signs at the work site, to ensure public safety and smooth traffic flow.
