Russia welcomed on Tuesday the initiative proposed by US President Donald Trump regarding a truce to stop the mutual strikes between Russia and Ukraine on energy infrastructure, in a move aimed at reducing escalation and protecting vital facilities from targeting.
The Kremlin's spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said in a statement: "Moscow has reviewed what US President Donald Trump published regarding the halt of targeting energy facilities in Russia and Ukraine and we see it as a good idea, and a good initiative. Moscow always supports peaceful solutions".
