Minister of Government Communication and official government spokesperson Mohannad Al-Momani affirmed on Sunday that the perpetrators of the terrorist attack targeting a church in the village of Hammoud in Karak Governorate "will not escape punishment," stressing that protecting the lives, security, and dignity of Jordanians is a national responsibility with no room for complacency.
Momani said in a post on his "X" platform account that Jordanians are bidding farewell to their martyrs to their final resting place in the village of Hammoud, in a tragedy that has broken the hearts of all Jordanians.
He added that the funeral scene reflected the unity and cohesion of Jordanians, emphasizing that national unity is firm and resilient against terrorism, sedition, and extremism.
Momani extended his condolences to the families, relatives, and loved ones of the martyrs, as well as to His Majesty King Abdullah II, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II, the people of Karak, and the Jordanian people, praying for mercy for the martyrs and a speedy recovery for the injured.
