Deputizing for Minister of Culture Mustafa Al-Rawashdeh, Ministry Advisor Saleh Al-Dajah inaugurated the events, in the presence of several officials, official and educational figures, and a gathering of local residents and students.
In a speech conveying the Minister of Culture's greetings and wishes for the event's success, Al-Dajah affirmed that culture is no longer limited to literature and arts—despite their importance—but has become a sector linked to comprehensive and sustainable development, contributing to fostering awareness and belonging, safeguarding value and social systems, and consolidating national identity and pride in Jordan's civilizational history.
The program featured poetic, artistic, and heritage segments, including national and poetic readings delivered by poet Kayed Nimr Al-Zaydan and students from Khan Al-Zebib Basic Coeducational School, alongside a heritage performance presented by Al-Damkhi Secondary Coeducational School, and a carnival play presented by Al-Zamilah Basic School for Boys, in addition to activities and performances tailored for students.
The event witnessed the opening of a book fair featuring Ministry of Culture publications offered as gifts, alongside charity and heritage bazaars, while the program concluded with performances by the Masaya Folk Arts Troupe, amid enthusiastic engagement from students and community members.
The event comes in line with the Ministry of Culture's orientation to distribute its activities and programs across various governorates and regions, provide opportunities for young talents to express their abilities, and encourage local communities to document their cultural heritage linked to the distinctiveness of place and identity, passing it on to younger generations.
