The Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Jordan Camel Racing Committee, is launching the sixth edition of the local and Arab Nabati Poetry Competition, as part of the Jordan Camel Racing and Nabati Poetry Festival, which is held under the generous patronage of His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II.
The competition comes within the framework of the Ministry of Culture's interest in preserving the Nabati poetic heritage and enhancing its presence in the Jordanian and Arab cultural scene, in addition to supporting young poetic talents and providing an opportunity for creators to express their experiences and issues through this literary genre rooted in Arab culture.
The competition targets Jordanian and Arab poets and provides a platform for competition and meeting between Nabati poetic voices, contributing to highlighting distinguished talents, encouraging the Nabati poetry movement, and consolidating its presence as one of the components of Arab cultural heritage.
The organization of the competition comes within the activities of the Jordan Camel Racing and Nabati Poetry Festival, which combines sports, heritage, and culture, and reflects the interest in authentic Jordanian heritage, especially that related to Bedouin culture, Nabati poetry, and camel racing.
Through such events, the Ministry of Culture continues to support initiatives concerned with Jordanian and Arab cultural heritage and to enhance the participation of creators in cultural events, contributing to passing this legacy on to new generations and maintaining its continuity and presence.
