Minister of Endowments Opens Al-Nawafla Mosque in Al-Kurrah

The Minister of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Al-Khalaila, inaugurated the late Dr. Ahmed Saleh Al-Nawafla Mosque in the town of Samu' in the Al-Kurrah district today, Wednesday.

Al-Khalaila said in the presence of Irbid Governor Firas Abu Al-Ghunm, the district commissioner Omar Al-Hadid, the head of the Rabieh Al-Kurrah Municipal Committee Iman Fatimat, the Endowments Director Abdul Salam Nusair, and his assistant Anas Al-Rawashdeh, that the Hashemites attach great importance to mosques, through their care and attention, and the role of the Holy Quran, noting that the number of mosques in Jordan is the highest in the world compared to the population and area.

He added that mosques are a beacon of knowledge and a place for building character and creating men, noting that building mosques is a sign of faith and honesty and contributes to building honest generations that preserve religion, morality, and good conduct.

Al-Khalaila explained that the construction of mosques consists of two aspects, the first is material in terms of construction and maintenance, and the second is spiritual related to keeping mosques filled with obedience to God, prayer, recitation of the Quran, remembrance, and science and interpretation lessons.

For his part, the director of the Endowments of the Al-Kurrah district, Abdul Salam Nusair, said that mosques are one of the houses of God, a beacon of knowledge and worship, and a refuge for those who remember, bow, and prostrate, stressing that mosques are a place where the light of prophecy shines and the ranks of the nation gather, and they are protected from all idleness and filth and preserved from all harm, and their ownership is shared among Muslims, and their right is to be loved, honored, and maintained by good deeds.

He explained that the mosque provides the Muslim community with a righteous individual who bears the burden of reform in all fields of life, and remembrance and obedience shape the character of the servant and imprint on honesty, integrity, and the divine identity, and the mosque is a comprehensive administrative complex from which the institutions of life branch out.

The representative of the local community in the town of Samu', Dr. Omar Al-Nawafla, praised the role of the Hashemites in sponsoring and caring for mosques, and that building a mosque remains a continuous charity for its builder, and that the mosque is a garden from the gardens of paradise.
