During the opening ceremony, Al-Khalayleh emphasized that the concept of building mosques goes beyond physical construction and material equipment to include spiritual development, represented by establishing them as platforms for faith, Quran recitation, and circles of beneficial knowledge. He pointed out that houses of God serve as educational and moral bastions to protect youth from societal ills and dangers, foremost among them the scourge of drugs, in addition to their role in promoting the values of moderation and temperance.
For his part, the Director of Awqaf in Tafilah, Dr. Luay Al-Thunaibat, highlighted the pivotal impact of mosques in shaping upright human behavior and deepening social solidarity. He reviewed the experience of the "Inclusive Holy Quran House" in Tafilah, which integrates the visually impaired with their peers who are memorizers of the Holy Quran, confirming the ongoing plan to establish an independent building for the center to enhance its services and expand the segments of its beneficiaries.
In a speech delivered on behalf of the local community, Dr. Ayman Al-Rawashdeh expressed his appreciation for the official and civil efforts that resulted in the completion of this religious edifice after five years of continuous work carried out by the mosque construction committee. He expressed his thanks to the Ministry of Awqaf and the philanthropists and supporters who completed the equipping of the mosque with prayer halls for men and women, and residences for the Imam and the Muezzin.
The opening ceremony, which was attended by the Director of Tafilah Police, Brigadier General Omar Al-Jubour, and the President of Tafilah Technical University, Dr. Hassan Al-Shalabi, witnessed the honoring of the winners and outstanding students of the Inclusive Holy Quran House under the supervision of preacher Abdullah Al-Saaydeh, in recognition of their diligence in memorizing and learning the Holy Quran.
On the sidelines of his field visit to Tafilah Governorate, Al-Khalayleh and the accompanying delegation inspected the shrine of the noble companion Al-Harith bin Umayr Al-Azdi in the Busaira district, reviewing the status of services and the care of Islamic shrines and antiquities in the district.
