Medlab Laboratories launched an awareness campaign to support children's health, coinciding with the start of the new school year. The campaign included providing free vitamin D testing for children aged between 4 and 14 years.
The campaign extended over six days, from August 30th to September 4th, and included Medlab Laboratories' 63 branches spread across all governorates of the Kingdom.
This campaign comes within the framework of Medlab Laboratories' ongoing efforts to enhance awareness of the importance of preventive health and to contribute to building healthier communities in the various regions it serves. More than 12,500 children were tested for free across the entire Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
Vitamin D plays an important role in supporting children's growth and physical and mental health, maintaining bone health, and enhancing immune system functions and overall health. Therefore, raising awareness and encouraging testing empowers parents to discover any potential deficiencies and take appropriate steps in consultation with a specialist doctor.
Dr. Huseeb Sahyoun, CEO of Medlab Laboratories, said: “We at Medlab have always believed in the importance of preventive health and that providing accurate medical tests and excellent service is a responsibility we are keen to fulfill wherever we are. Through this campaign, we sought to facilitate families' access to vitamin D testing, given its significant importance in supporting children's health and physical and mental growth, especially coinciding with the back-to-school season.”
The campaign reflects Medlab Laboratories' ongoing commitment to supporting community health, enhancing the concept of preventive healthcare, and providing laboratory services that help individuals and families make informed health decisions and early detection.
