Orange Jordan connects startups supported by the PASS program with prominent private sector leaders through three regional meetings

Within the framework of the "Private Sector Access to Support Startups" (PASS) program, co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), Orange Jordan organized three regional meetings in the Kingdom. As part of its efforts to strengthen the entrepreneurship ecosystem in Jordan and empower 130 entrepreneurs, this initiative aims to foster cross-sector collaboration by opening networking horizons between startups supported by the program and a select group of investors, private sector companies, NGOs, business associations, and entrepreneurship support organizations.

The networking sessions were held in Amman at the Orange Digital Village, the Innovation Hub, and in Aqaba and Irbid at "The Platform," the technology center affiliated with the Youth, Technology, and Jobs (YTJ) project launched by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship and implemented in partnership with the INJAZ organization. The session held in Amman also hosted startups from Karak, expanding their reach to a network of essential and vital sectors.

The initiative initially allowed participating entrepreneurs and organizations to present detailed pitches about their activities and businesses, followed by direct networking opportunities that enhance the exploration of market access, commercial linkages, investment, service provision, and potential partnerships. Furthermore, institutions from various key sectors, such as fintech and consulting, joined in distinct one-on-one discussions with the startups.

These strategic meetings perfectly complement the comprehensive and tailored set of training, individual mentoring, and guidance provided by the PASS program, transitioning companies from the capacity-building stage to business opportunities by facilitating direct contact with markets to achieve tangible results for all stakeholders involved.

Orange Jordan emphasized that entrepreneurship contributes to economic growth by providing jobs, offering new solutions, and creating opportunities within the community. The private sector also plays a vital role in supporting startups to realize this potential as customers, partners, and investors. Through the PASS program, entrepreneurs are given a platform to connect with these stakeholders to help them understand market needs, explore new business horizons, and build relationships that support their continuous growth.

The initiative embodies Orange Jordan's firm commitment to supporting entrepreneurs across various governorates and ensuring the sustainable growth of startups, while providing the necessary network of relationships to establish a long-term base with customers, investors, and business partners, going beyond mere skill development.

The "Private Sector Access to Support Startups" (PASS) initiative is one of the initiatives implemented by Orange Jordan, in partnership with the Entrepreneurship for Sustainable Economic Development and Employment (E4DE) project implemented by GIZ in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Economy and Entrepreneurship, and co-funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU).
