The Mazar Al-Janoubi Endowments Directorate, in cooperation with local community institutions, community police, and the women's affairs department, implemented a cleanup campaign in the Mazar Al-Janoubi district, as part of the efforts of the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places aimed at enhancing societal responsibility, entrenching the culture of voluntary work, spreading environmental awareness, and encouraging community members to actively participate in preserving public cleanliness.
The campaign comes in line with the call of Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II to pay attention to public cleanliness and promote community initiatives that contribute to preserving the environment and public facilities, and translating these orientations into field initiatives that foster the spirit of cooperation and joint action between official institutions and local community components.
The Director of Mazar Al-Janoubi Endowments, Dr. Sultan Al-Qaraleh, said that the implementation of this campaign stems from the religious and awareness-raising role played by the Endowments Directorate in serving the community, instilling Islamic values that urge cleanliness and environmental preservation, and strengthening the spirit of cooperation, solidarity, and responsibility towards the homeland and its resources.
Al-Qaraleh added that maintaining public cleanliness is a shared responsibility that requires concerted efforts from official and civil institutions and citizens, stressing the importance of voluntary initiatives in spreading environmental awareness and motivating community members to adopt positive practices that contribute to reducing random littering and preserving the cleanliness of public places and the civilized appearance of the district.
He pointed out that the partnership with local community institutions, the community police, and the women's affairs department reflects the importance of participatory work in making community initiatives successful and achieving their awareness goals, noting that religious institutions play an important role in guiding society toward positive behaviors and promoting values that urge removing harm from the road and preserving the environment as forms of individual and societal responsibility.
Al-Qaraleh emphasized the importance of continuing to implement campaigns and voluntary activities that promote the culture of cleanliness and teamwork, and contribute to raising the level of awareness among various segments of society, especially youth, in a way that entrenches the concept of active citizenship and national belonging, and makes preserving the environment a sustainable daily behavior.
