Makassed Hospital Enhances Services with the Opening of a Clinic for Obesity Treatment

Makassed Charitable Hospital, affiliated with the Zakat Fund of the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs and Holy Sites, has opened a specialized clinic for obesity treatment and related surgical procedures, as part of its approach to providing specialized and comprehensive medical services for patients suffering from overweight and obesity.

Director General of the hospital, Dr. Muhammad Ibrahim Al-Harout, said that the clinic provides a comprehensive medical evaluation of cases and develops treatment plans that suit the needs of patients, including nutrition, physical activity, and periodic follow-up, in addition to surgical options when needed, such as gastric sleeve, gastric bypass, and gastric balloon.

He added that the clinic follows chronic diseases associated with obesity, including diabetes, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol, in addition to monitoring weight and response to the treatment plan with the aim of achieving sustainable health results.

Al-Harout explained that the clinic receives visitors on Mondays and Wednesdays, from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM.

The hospital recently opened a clinic for chronic wounds, diabetic foot, and fistulas, in cooperation with the Iman Warehouse, where a number of cases were received and treated, and medical guidance and appropriate follow-up plans were provided for each case.
