The Jordanian Hashemite Charity, in cooperation with the Jordanian Relief Campaign, inaugurated a specialized women's and obstetrics clinic within Yas Medical Center in Mawasi Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, as part of ongoing Jordanian efforts to support the health sector and enhance medical services provided to our people in the region.
The clinic was inaugurated after completing its equipment with the necessary medical devices and equipment, to provide examination, diagnosis, and follow-up services for women and pregnant women, and to contribute to meeting the growing needs of women's health care services in light of the great pressure witnessed by the health sector in Gaza.
The clinic includes an ultrasound imaging device equipped with specialized sensors, including a sensor for heart examinations and functions and arteries, an abdominal imaging sensor and organ diagnosis with three-dimensional and four-dimensional techniques, in addition to a sensor dedicated to women's examinations and obstetrics and early pregnancy follow-up, alongside supporting medical equipment.
The authority confirmed that the inauguration of the clinic comes within its approach to enhancing the capacity of health facilities operating within the Gaza Strip, and to support the continuity of providing medical services, especially in specialties that witness increasing needs, at the forefront of which is women's health and the care of pregnant women and mothers.
The inauguration of the clinic is an extension of the health interventions implemented by the Jordanian Hashemite Charity and the Jordanian Relief Campaign since the beginning of the crisis, represented by the establishment of free medical days in addition to providing medicines and medical supplies to hospitals, alongside their ongoing humanitarian programs in the sectors of food security, water, shelter, and education, thereby enhancing the response to the basic needs of our people in the Gaza Strip.
