Ma'an.. Creativity centers pave the way for youth from skill to project

From the creativity center at the Qantara Center in Ma'an Governorate and in cooperation with the Cultural Center in the Petra region, young woman Ahlam Al-Rawajfeh set off to establish the first creative studio for photography and editing in her town of Al-Rajef in the Petra district.

Al-Rawajfeh was able, through the training and skills development she received, to master photography and editing with high professionalism, which provided her with a job opportunity represented by establishing her own project.

Al-Rawajfeh says that the various creativity centers seek as a whole to develop youth skills in various modern-era sciences, and possess qualified human energies capable of training and education in line with modern global developments in various scientific and digital fields.

Al-Rawajfeh adds that she was able, through the lessons she received, to significantly develop her skills and make her self-reliant in managing her project, which she started after finishing the requirements of an intensive photography and editing course that focused on both theoretical and practical field aspects.

Al-Rawajfeh calls on the concerned official authorities to support these centers and establish partnerships with them, enabling them to continue providing and expanding their services to include a wider segment of youth from various population clusters.

Ali Al-Naimat agrees with her, as he was able to develop his skills in the fields of artificial intelligence through his participation during his university studies in the programs of the Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University.

Al-Naimat emphasizes that his participation in the center's programs and training played an important role in developing his skills in the field of digital sciences and opening better horizons for him, as he was able to work via various artificial intelligence and computer programs, which accelerated his acquisition of additional job opportunities in a number of private sector institutions.

The Center for Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship at Al-Hussein Bin Talal University seeks to provide an incubator and support space for owners of entrepreneurial ideas and innovative projects to turn them into tangible reality, develop and enhance digital and entrepreneurial skills and employability among students and graduates, alongside linking education to the labor market and building practical partnerships with private sector institutions.

Eid Al-Nawafleh, a manager of a private tourism sector institution, considers that creativity centers have played an important role in developing the capacities of youth in the fields of entrepreneurship and creativity, and that as a business owner, he has witnessed the advanced skills and ability to compete and innovate in the labor market possessed by the graduates of these centers in various fields, such as digital marketing, employing artificial intelligence in tourism promotion, English language skills, and others.

Al-Nawafleh calls for these centers to receive support from the concerned official authorities to be a counterpart to higher education institutions in equipping youth with more experiences and skills, and contributing to qualifying them practically for the labor market.

These centers have helped many youth head towards establishing their independent entrepreneurial projects, as young man Hussein Al-Hamadin was able to establish the first art school in Ma'an Governorate, which seeks to graduate distinguished competencies in the fields of fashion design, photography arts, tourism content creation, and other practical fields.

Al-Hamadin believes that these centers also have an important role in raising youth awareness, guiding them towards opportunities, and helping them study their feasibility, alongside their role in motivating them to establish their entrepreneurial projects.

Social activist and engineer Adel Al-Rofouh illustrates the importance of these centers in qualifying a qualified, trained generation armed with modern sciences and creative thinking from the people of Ma'an Governorate and the Kingdom, as the graduates of these centers have proven, through the projects they established and their merit in the labor market, the necessity of expanding the programs offered by creativity centers.

Al-Rofouh calls for further support for these centers, and for their role and programs to also include various population clusters to be a partner in the renaissance of Jordanian youth and the development of these regions, raising the awareness of their people so they can find better job and living opportunities, and so they can also contribute to benefiting their communities by establishing entrepreneurial projects in them. A wide number of those met by $ agreed on the importance of the role of municipalities in various population clusters in building partnerships with creativity and entrepreneurship centers, allowing a larger segment of youth the opportunity to learn about their programs and benefit from their training, awareness, and guidance role.
