National murals, digital awareness, and volunteering.. Youth centers in Mafraq enhance community participation of youth

Activities of youth centers in Mafraq Governorate combine artistic expression, awareness of digital challenges, and the encouragement of voluntary work, as part of efforts aimed at developing youth capabilities, strengthening their connection to their national identity, and expanding their participation in community service.

Within this framework, the Dafyana Youth and Young Women Center implemented an artistic activity to paint national murals, with the participation of 25 young members of the center, aimed at promoting values of belonging and national loyalty through painting national symbols and Jordanian flags, alongside beautifying the environment surrounding the center and improving its general appearance, which enhances the spirit of initiative and teamwork among participants.

In the context of keeping pace with technological transformations, the Al-Manshiyya Youth Center organized an awareness lecture entitled "Artificial Intelligence and Protecting Youth from the Risks of the Digital World," during which the lecturer Odai Al-Shadifat discussed the importance of artificial intelligence applications in daily life and ways to utilize them in a positive and responsible manner.

The lecture covered methods of personal data protection, the safe use of social media, dealing with misleading information, and raising awareness about the risks of electronic blackmail, thereby enhancing the ability of youth to deal consciously with the digital environment and its challenges.

In the field of voluntary work, the Al-Hamra and Houcha Youth and Young Women Center implemented an introductory session on the Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II Award for Voluntary Work, with the participation of 15 members of the center, during which the head of the center, Sobha Al-Sharaa, explained the objectives of the award and its importance in consolidating the culture of volunteering and enhancing youth participation in community service, in addition to clarifying the application mechanism and encouraging participants to launch voluntary initiatives and participate in their implementation.

The Sama Al-Sirhan Youth Center organized an introductory session on the award at Sama Al-Sirhan Mixed Secondary School, during which the head of the center, Thamer Al-Sirhan, reviewed the objectives and axes of the award, as well as the registration and participation mechanism, aiming to motivate students to launch voluntary initiatives and enhance their values of giving, belonging, and social responsibility.

These activities reflect the diversity of roles played by youth centers in developing youth capabilities by providing them with the space for artistic expression, participating in improving their local environment, gaining awareness of digital challenges, and learning about volunteer participation opportunities. They also highlight the importance of providing spaces that combine learning and practice, helping youth transform values and knowledge into tangible initiatives and practices in society.
