The National Library Circle in Amman hosted the launch of the book 'The Arab... As Told by Stories' by writer and artist Ayyad Ayyad, under the patronage of His Excellency Professor Hayel Daoud, and in the presence of a group of intellectuals, academics, media professionals, and those interested in cultural and tourism affairs.
In his opening speech, His Excellency Dr. Hayel Daoud emphasized the importance of the book in enhancing cultural and human awareness, and highlighting the moral values embodied by the Arab in his daily life, pointing to the cognitive value that this work adds to documenting the Arab human experience.
For his part, the author Ayyad Ayyad reviewed the journey of preparing the book, which spanned three decades of dialogue and interaction with people and cultures, explaining that the publication, issued by the Efficiency Knowledge Publishing and Distribution House in 2026, documents a rich personal experience, and presents the image of the Arab in a style that mixes between the story and memory, away from stereotypes and generalizations.
Also, Ms. Nadia Misk, Professor Jarwan Al-Ma'ani, and Dr. Ghassan Owais gave interventions that addressed the role of the book in building bridges of cultural communication, and re-presenting the Arab identity with its human, social, and historical features.
At the end of the ceremony, the patron of the ceremony was honored and the commemorative shields were handed over, and then the author signed copies of his book for the attendees.
