The seminar addresses the reality of puppet theater in Jordan, and the challenges it faces at the level of the industry and the theatrical experience, in addition to anticipating the opportunities available for the development of this art and enhancing its presence in the theatrical scene.
On Tuesday 6 October, at eight in the evening, a dialogue seminar entitled «Puppet Theater and Its Impact on School Theater»will be held, with the participation of the director Issa Al-Jarrah and the director Wasef Dalea, and the management of the director Suhad Al-Za'abi, where the seminar opens the discussion on the potential of employing puppet theater in the educational environment and its role in enriching the school theater experience and reaching children with more artistic and educational methods.
In addition to the dialogue program, the events of «Amman Days for Puppet Theater» include a specialized workshop in the manufacture and animation of puppets, which allows participants to learn about the practical and technical aspects associated with the design, manufacture, and animation of puppets, thereby enhancing the practical aspect of the festival experience and opening the door for those interested to acquire new skills in this theatrical art.
The diversity of the program between dialogue and training comes within a framework that seeks to approach puppet theater from more than one angle, starting from its reality and challenges, passing through its presence in school theater, and reaching the practical aspects of making and animating the puppet, thereby establishing the presence of this art as a space for creativity, experimentation, and communication with the young audience.
