The participants expressed their strong condemnation and denunciation of the terrorist crime, affirming their categorical rejection of all forms of extremism and violence, and what they represent as an assault on the lives of innocent people and a threat to societal peace, stressing the importance of confronting extremist ideology and enhancing societal awareness of national and human values.
They pointed out that receiving mourners at the Karak Sons Diwan in Aqaba reflects the depth of the national and social ties that bring together the people of Karak with the people of Aqaba and all other governorates of the Kingdom, and confirms that the affliction is one, and that Jordanians stand together in the face of adversity and challenges, based on their belief in a common destiny and the necessity of preserving the security and stability of the homeland... In a related context, a number of political and national figures in Aqaba Governorate agreed that the speed of the security services in tracking down the perpetrators of the terrorist crime and arresting them embodies the vigilance of the Jordanian state, the efficiency of its security institutions, and its ability to confront threats targeting the security and stability of the homeland.
They affirmed that the success of the security operation sends a firm message that Jordan will not allow terrorism to threaten its security or undermine its national unity, and that the rule of law will remain above all considerations, praising the efforts made by the security services in protecting citizens and safeguarding the security and stability of the Kingdom.
The attendees stressed the importance of strengthening national unity and standing against all attempts aimed at sowing discord among members of society, confirming that the cohesion of Jordanians and their rallying around their Hashemite leadership and state institutions constitute a fundamental pillar in facing challenges.
The participants prayed to God Almighty to bestow His vast mercy upon the victims, to grant their families patience and solace, to grant the injured a speedy recovery, to protect Jordan and its people from all harm, and to perpetuate the blessing of security and stability upon it.
