Jerash Hosts the Second Scientific Conference for Teachers' Clubs Tomorrow

The Jerash Teachers' Club has completed its preparations to host the Second Scientific Conference for Teachers' Clubs, which will kick off tomorrow, Thursday, with the participation of about 200 male and female teachers from various governorates of the Kingdom.

The club's director, Ahmed Al-Frehat, said that the conference, held under the patronage of the Minister of Education and Human Resources Development, Dr. Azmi Mahafza, aims to enhance the role of the Jordanian teacher, exchange educational experiences and initiatives, and highlight distinguished initiatives that contribute to the development of educational practices and serve the educational process.

He added that more than 100 male and female teachers submitted research to participate in the conference, which was reviewed according to approved criteria, and 44 of them were selected to be presented and discussed during the scientific sessions that will continue until September 26.

He pointed out that the conference will discuss four axes that address the role of the Jordanian teacher in strengthening the pillars of national identity, developed curricula, building 21st-century skills, and the development of creative, technical, digital, inclusive education, and the role of teachers' clubs in bringing about positive change in the educational community.

Al-Frehat noted that the conference activities include a national dialogue session entitled “National Identity and the Jordanian Narrative” alongside the presentation of participating educational research and experiences.

He explained that the preparations for the conference began about a month ago in cooperation with the Teachers' Clubs Directorate and the concerned parties, and included completing the technical, organizational, and logistical arrangements, preparing the halls, and setting up accommodation sites for the participants.

He pointed to the preparation of a program for the participants that includes visiting a number of tourist and heritage sites in Jerash to introduce the tourist and cultural assets of the governorate.

Al-Frehat affirmed that the conference comes as a continuation of the success of its first session and provides a space for teachers and researchers to exchange experiences and knowledge and present their scientific and educational outputs.
