Martyrs in occupation shelling on several areas in the Strip
4 Palestinians, including a civil defense volunteer, were martyred on Wednesday in Israeli airstrikes targeting various areas in the Gaza Strip, according to the civil defense, coinciding with the commemoration of the third anniversary of the "October 7" 2023 attack.
Civil Defense Spokesperson Mahmoud Bassal stated that civil defense crews "transferred four martyrs following several Israeli airstrikes" in Khan Yunis in the southern Strip and Jabalia in its north.
He explained that Hisham Abu Mustafa, 60 years old, was martyred and a number of other people were injured as a result of a strike targeting a house in the Khan Yunis camp, while Ziad Zaarab was martyred and others were injured in a strike on the Qizan Abu Rashwan area south of the city.
Nasser Hospital in Khan Yunis confirmed the arrival of two bodies and nine injured individuals, one of whom is in critical condition.
Azza Abu Mustafa, a nurse in the hospital's emergency department, said she was shocked when she discovered that the body of one of the victims received by the hospital belonged to her father, Hisham Abu Mustafa.
A security source in Gaza reported that Israeli artillery shelling and gunfire hit, since Wednesday midnight, several areas, including most of the eastern areas in Khan Yunis, the camps of Deir al-Balah, al-Bureij, and al-Maghazi in the central Strip, and the neighborhoods of al-Zaytoun, al-Tuffah, and al-Shuja'iyya east of Gaza City.
The source added that the Israeli army "blown up and destroyed a number of houses" in the al-Zaytoun neighborhood.
Despite a year passing since the ceasefire agreement reached between Israel and the Hamas movement brokered by Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, the Israeli army continues to carry out air, naval, and ground strikes on the Strip on a nearly regular basis.
Israeli forces control more than 60 percent of the Strip's area, which is 365 square kilometers, while more than two million Palestinians live there, the majority of them in tents and makeshift housing lacking proper living conditions.
According to the Ministry of Health in Gaza, Israeli strikes have led to the martyrdom of more than 1,460 Palestinians since the announcement of the ceasefire in October 2025, while the number of Palestinian martyrs since the start of the war has exceeded 74,200 people.
Hamas's October 7 attack resulted in the deaths of more than 1,200 people in Israel, according to official Israeli figures.
In the occupied West Bank, a Palestinian was martyred and nine others were injured on Wednesday during an attack launched by settlers and Israeli forces on farmers in the village of Burqa, north of Nablus, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health and medics.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health announced the death of Ali Hasan Yusr al-Bazari, 44 years old, and the injury of nine Palestinians with varying degrees of wounds, including one seriously injured, during what it described as "the aggression of the occupation forces and colonists" on the village.
Al-Bazari is a member of the Palestinian Authority's National Security Forces, according to an obituary published by the Authority on its official website.
The incident occurred while farmers from the village of Burqa were harvesting olives on their lands in the Sahl Ramin area, located between Nablus and Tulkarm, according to the village council head, Ammar Salah.
Salah said that clashes broke out between young men from the village and settlers before Israeli forces intervened and fired live bullets, leading to the death of al-Bazari and the injury of others.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society reported that its crews dealt with three live bullet injuries, one of them critical, in addition to five injuries resulting from beatings, and transferred the injured to hospitals.
The society stated that Israeli forces assaulted ambulance crews and volunteers with beatings and also detained the crews while they were trying to reach the injured in the area.
In contrast, the Israeli army stated that its forces arrived in the area after receiving a report about stone-throwing towards an Israeli civilian resulting in his injury, adding that a clash broke out involving dozens of Palestinians and Israeli civilians.
The army explained that a security member and another Israeli civilian fired shots during the clash and while evacuating the injured civilian for treatment, adding that its forces worked to disperse the gathering and arrest a number of suspects in stone-throwing.
The army stated that a commander in the area spotted a Palestinian "running towards him carrying a suspicious object," and proceeded to "neutralize him," as he expressed it.
Settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has escalated in recent months, while Palestinian parties say that the perpetrators of these attacks often escape legal prosecution.
In the town of Biddu, northwest of Jerusalem, the Israeli army blew up the house of a Palestinian accused of killing an Israeli settler in an attack that took place last month, according to the mayor.
Biddu Mayor Nazmi Mansour said that Israeli forces raided the town at around 4:00 AM and distributed leaflets announcing their intention to demolish the house of the detainee Qadri Samara.
The Israeli army confirmed, in leaflets distributed to residents, that it was demolishing Samara's house, and asked them to stay away from the site and the forces deployed in it.
Israeli forces repeatedly demolish the homes of Palestinians accused of carrying out attacks.
The army had arrested Samara following an armed attack that took place near the Neve Tzuf settlement near Ramallah, which resulted in the death of an Israeli settler.
The Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that the blowing up of the house of Samara, 37 years old, comes within the framework of what it described as a "systematic policy targeting prisoners' families and their properties," considering it to fall under the policy of collective punishment.
The club added that Samara is still being held under interrogation in Megiddo Prison in northern Israel, and is barred from meeting his lawyer, noting that he is married and the father of three children.
In the northern West Bank, Israeli forces demolished 6 memorial monuments bearing the names of Palestinians, most of which were in Nablus.
Nablus Governor Ghassan Daghlas said that the Israeli authorities did not stop at pursuing Palestinians, as he described, but have also started targeting memorial monuments, considering that the demolition operations come in the context of raids, arrests, house demolitions, and uprooting trees, in addition to protecting settlers.
In Jenin, the governorate spokesperson, Hala Abu Bakr, said that the Israeli army demolished a memorial monument for the martyr Yasser Hamdouni in the town of Ya'bad, and also removed pictures of Palestinians killed in various locations in the city of Jenin.
Israeli forces had demolished, on Monday, a memorial monument at Birzeit University north of Ramallah, following a raid on the campus at night. The monument bears the names of 41 students who were martyred in attacks or clashes with the Israeli army or during raids since 1984.
